OUR STORY

I Pair U was founded by entrepreneurial professionals who felt they needed more innovation in the space despite their successful careers at respected global enterprises. In 2018, the IKEA Group approached Torbjörn Ekstrand (our founder) to help create a system to identify potential future leaders within the company. Our team, many of whom are still on this project, worked hard for 18 months, analyzing data sets of 97,500 employees working with thought leaders assembled globally by IKEA. By the end of the project, we were able to present a successful proof of concept to the board of the IKEA Group.

Determined to create a solution that empowers people and businesses to maximize their potential, they harnessed their technical expertise to develop an AI-powered Agile Total Workforce management. This innovative system pairs a Talent Marketplace that drives internal mobility with a comprehensive Skills Foundation suite, providing complete visibility into workforce capabilities. I Pair U's Career Vault and Skills Foundation are at the heart of this system. They are a dynamic database that leverages deep-learning AI to understand and optimize the relationships between different work units. By reimagining how talent is utilized, I Pair U is helping organizations and individuals to get unstuck and stay in continuous motion.

Our journey began in 2021, fueled by Worktech Labs. Subsequently, I Pair U was established in 2024 to back the new initiative as the platform was primed for launch. We conducted comprehensive research, experimented, created prototypes, and assessed the market. We are now prepared to unveil our pilot. We aim to revolutionize and enhance talent matching by discovering innovative and superior methods. We strive to adapt and leverage the global market through technology.
